Ministry Philosophy

Christ Exalted. Bible Explained. People Encouraged.

"Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen."

- 1 Peter 4:10-11 (CSB)

We envision New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church as a sanctuary for spiritual renewal and a wellspring of blessings that flow beyond our walls, enriching the spiritual and physical landscape of southeast Michigan and beyond.

Vision Statement

A community exalting Christ and transforming lives through education, service, and love.

Mission Statement

Growing the Body of Christ through Christian education and ministry.

The 6E Blueprint

We have organized our mission and activities around the 6E Blueprint. This strategic framework is oriented around six core values: Exaltation, Evangelism, Equipping, Education, Edification, and Economics. Each of these essential values serves as a guidepost, enabling us to navigate the complexities of faith, fellowship, and community engagement.

Exaltation

Exalting Jesus Christ is foundational to our ministry. According to Philippians 2:9, God has elevated Him above all, and we experience spiritual renewal when we align with this truth. Our worship encompasses various expressions, from singing to clapping, as we declare Christ's Lordship in unity.

Evangelism

Evangelism is central to our mission. We proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ as described in Romans 1:16, the power to save those who believe. As ambassadors of Christ, we aim to spread the message of His life-changing sacrifice on the cross to all.

Equipping

Equipping the saints is a multidimensional endeavor. Through insightful sermons, practical Bible classes, and intentional mentorship, we prayerfully support spiritual development. These activities, all grounded in 2 Peter 1:3 and Ephesians 4:11-12, function as catalysts for transformative growth, allowing believers to flourish in their individual callings and collective contributions.

Education

We prioritize education both in spiritual and secular realms. Spiritual wisdom is foundational, guiding us in aligning our wills with God's Word. On the other hand, secular education serves as preparatory training for believers to penetrate various sectors of society, much like Daniel in Babylon (Daniel 1:17). The ultimate goal is to establish a kingdom presence in our respective domains.

Edification

Edification involves the building up of fellow believers through words and actions. In keeping with Ephesians 4:1-3 and Hebrews 10:24-25, our community thrives on mutual encouragement, worship, and service, all contributing to our collective spiritual well-being.

Economics

Our financial choices reflect our faith and commitment to God. We engage in cheerful giving to invest in causes that honor God and wise management to use our resources effectively. While we're thankful for God's abundant blessings, we aim to use them responsibly and not become ensnared by materialism. Our ultimate goal is to glorify God through faithful living and stewardship.
